How can I add my student loan information to PortfolioPilot?

Student loans can be added as a liability in Net Worth:

  1. Click Add an asset - Other assets - Loan.
  2. Enter a name (e.g. "Federal Student Loan").
  3. Enter the original loan amount in "Original investment amount".
  4. Enter the current balance in "Remaining loan amount".

The loan appears as a liability in your Net Worth, reducing your total by the outstanding balance and giving you an accurate picture of your overall financial position. For repayment strategy questions (refinance vs payoff, snowball vs avalanche, weighing extra payments against investing), ask the AI Assistant. It can talk through options against your specific financial situation.
