How do I add a security that isn't found in PortfolioPilot's database?

If a security doesn't appear when you search for it, you can add it manually:

  1. Open Net Worth - "Add an asset" - Securities.
  2. In the security search box, if the ticker or name doesn't return a result, look for the option to add a custom security.
  3. Enter the security's name, current price, and quantity.

Manual securities are tracked at the price you enter. You'll need to update the price periodically since there's no automatic price feed for custom entries.

If it's an ETF or mutual fund: The AI Assistant can suggest a close proxy that is in the database and has similar characteristics. Try: "What's the closest ETF to [fund name]?" Using a proxy means you get automated pricing and analysis rather than a manually updated value.

If it's a foreign stock or OTC security: Email support@portfoliopilot.com with the ticker and exchange. We'll investigate whether we can add it to the database - we'll investigate and fix it asap.
