How do I see my unrealized gains and losses in PortfolioPilot?

Open Analysis & comparison and select your portfolio from the dropdown. Navigate to the Holdings tab.

Each holding shows:

  • Cost basis - what you originally paid
  • Current value - today's market value
  • Unrealized gain / loss - the difference, in both dollars and percentage

For connected brokerage accounts, cost basis syncs automatically if your broker provides it via the data connection. If your broker doesn't provide cost basis data through the connection, you can enter or edit it manually:

  1. Open Net Worth and find the holding.
  2. Click the pencil (Edit) icon.
  3. Enter or update the cost basis for each lot.

For tax purposes, consult your broker's official records or a CPA - PortfolioPilot's figures reflect what has synced from your connection or what you've entered manually.
