Where do the security forecasts come from? Why is the expected return different from historical returns?
Past returns do not guarantee future ones. Short histories, recent IPOs and changing conditions all mean forecasts can differ from what has happened.

PortfolioPilot does not custody assets, so withdrawals are handled by your bank, brokerage or other custodian directly.

Not yet - PortfolioPilot supports US and Canadian exchanges. ADRs and CDRs can be used to proxy international companies in the meantime.

Yes - choose Direct index in the Account management field when adding the account, then set its management fees and a proxy such as an S&P 500 fund.

Go to Add an Asset - Securities - Manual portfolio, type the bond name, create a custom security, set Asset class to Fixed income and pick Municipal.

Scroll to the bottom of the Track page to see your portfolio broken into component holdings. The same view is on the Comparison page under holdings.

No return can be guaranteed, but the Investing Advice page lists recommendations that may improve expected returns - start with the Top recommendations.

Raise expected returns or reduce portfolio risk. Use the Risk-adjusted Return tab on the Analysis page to see how each holding affects your Sharpe Ratio.

View moreWhy are bonds missing from my portfolio?
CUSIP mapping for bonds is imperfect, so some do not resolve. Open the Details page, find the bond in the table and edit the security to fix it.
View moreWhy does my externally connected portfolio have incorrect values?
Small differences are usually data lag; connection partners guarantee data no more than 24 hours old. Larger gaps are worth reporting to support.

Raise your Downside Protection Score by diversifying across assets, sectors and regions, then reviewing regularly as conditions change.

All portfolio data is recalculated daily. Manually imported holdings are repriced each day using the quantities you entered.

Go to the Net Worth page. For manually entered data, click the pencil icon to update securities one by one or all at once.

Connect during onboarding, or add accounts any time on the Net Worth page by syncing a brokerage, uploading a statement or entering holdings manually.

Individual fixed-income securities are not supported directly. Add them as a custom security, or use a bond ETF or mutual fund as a close proxy.

Yes - you can import securities using either share quantities or dollar amounts. Both work for manual entry and for spreadsheet upload.
