Can I track Canadian accounts and pension plans (CPP, RRSP, TFSA) in PortfolioPilot?

Yes - PortfolioPilot supports Canadian investors and CAD-denominated accounts.

For registered accounts (RRSP, TFSA, RESP):

  • Connect or add manually via Track → Net Worth → "Add an asset" → Securities
  • Mark RRSP as "Tax-Advantaged" and TFSA as "Tax-Free" for correct analysis and recommendations
  • RESP can be added as a Tax-Advantaged

For the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and OAS:

  • Add CPP/OAS as a recurring income source in the Retirement Planner (similar to US Social Security)
  • Go to Plan → Retirement Planning → "Money in & out" tab → "+ Add payment" → select the appropriate income type
  • Enter your expected annual amount and the age you plan to start receiving it

For Canadian securities (TSX-listed stocks and ETFs):

  • Many Canadian tickers are supported - search by ticker (e.g. XIU.TO, VCN.TO, XEQT.TO)
  • If a ticker isn't found, add it as a custom security or use a proxy (e.g. a similar US-listed ETF)
