How do I add ADR stocks (foreign companies trading on US exchanges)?

American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) are shares of foreign companies traded on US exchanges. ADRs add the same way as any US-listed stock:

  1. Open Net Worth - "Add an asset" - Securities - "Enter or copy/paste securities".
  2. Search by the US ticker (the symbol shown when the ADR trades on a US exchange).
  3. Enter quantity (required); cost basis and purchase date are optional.

If the ADR isn't in our database, click "Create custom security" and set the Asset class to Equity along with the appropriate Sector. You can attach a representative ETF or peer security under "Use proxy security instead" for automatic daily price updates.

To get a specific ADR added to our database, hit Report an issue next to the ticker in-app (fastest path into our data queue). You can also email support@portfoliopilot.com with the ticker and exchange. We'll investigate and fix it asap.
