How do I add I Bonds or Treasury bonds to PortfolioPilot?

Treasury ETFs can be added as regular securities — just search by ticker in Net Worth.

For I Bonds and direct Treasury bonds held at TreasuryDirect (not in a brokerage):

  1. Open Net Worth"Add an asset"Securities.
  2. Click "Enter or copy/paste securities".
  3. Search for the bond by name or CUSIP. If not found, select "Create custom security".
  4. Set the asset class to Fixed income and the bond type to Government.
  5. Enter the current value (for I Bonds, the current redemption value shown in your TreasuryDirect account).

Prices for government fixed income added this way are kept current using a government fixed income index that we proxy the security to — so the value moves with the broader Treasury market over time. If you'd rather mark-to-market with the exact TreasuryDirect redemption value at a specific date, update the value manually whenever you want.
