How do I add I Bonds or Treasury bonds to PortfolioPilot?
Treasury ETFs can be added as regular securities — just search by ticker in Net Worth.
For I Bonds and direct Treasury bonds held at TreasuryDirect (not in a brokerage):
- Open Net Worth → "Add an asset" → Securities.
- Click "Enter or copy/paste securities".
- Search for the bond by name or CUSIP. If not found, select "Create custom security".
- Set the asset class to Fixed income and the bond type to Government.
- Enter the current value (for I Bonds, the current redemption value shown in your TreasuryDirect account).
Prices for government fixed income added this way are kept current using a government fixed income index that we proxy the security to — so the value moves with the broader Treasury market over time. If you'd rather mark-to-market with the exact TreasuryDirect redemption value at a specific date, update the value manually whenever you want.
