How do I connect two accounts from the same institution?

You can connect multiple accounts from the same institution. The most common case is adding a spouse's account at the same brokerage.

The main issue: You're typically already logged into the first account on the brokerage's side — when PortfolioPilot opens the connection flow, the brokerage uses that existing session, so you end up reconnecting the same account instead of getting a fresh login prompt for the second one.

How to add the second account:

  1. Open the brokerage's website in your browser and log out of the first account completely. (Closing the tab isn't always enough — explicitly sign out.)
  2. Come back to PortfolioPilot. Open Net Worth"Add an asset"Securities and search for the same institution in the institution search box.
  3. Sign in with the second account's credentials in the secure login window. That fresh-login flow is what gets you connected to the second account.

If it still won't go through, email support@portfoliopilot.com with the institution name and both account emails — we'll investigate and fix it asap. For details on how PortfolioPilot protects your connections, see Security at portfoliopilot.com/security.
