How do I restrict 401k suggestions to just the ones allowed in my account?

Here are three ways to keep 401(k) suggestions to the options available in your account:

  1. Use Asset Groups to separate the 401(k) account. This allows you to exclude it from the recommendations, or perform analysis on that one account in particular.
  2. Use the Portfolio Optimizer for the one account to re-balance / re-weight existing securities.
  3. Create a Draft portfolio, add $1 of each of the allowed securities, and use the Portfolio Optimizer to find the right outcome for your risk preference.

PortfolioPilot can't yet store the specific list of securities your plan allows, so these approaches bridge that gap.
