How do I sign up for the free plan without starting a Gold trial?
There isn't a separate "Gold trial" to opt out of. When you create a new PortfolioPilot account, you're already on the free plan — the 10-day full-access trial layers Gold, Platinum, and Pro features on top of it at no cost, so you can explore everything. A credit card is not required at any point during the trial.
At the end of the 10 days, you'll be asked which plan you want to continue on:
- Continue on Free — no charge, no credit card needed; all your data stays intact.
- Continue on Gold, Platinum, or Pro — you'd add payment information at that point if you want to keep premium features.
If you simply want the free plan when the trial ends, you don't need to do anything during the trial — at the end, you'll pick Free and stay there.
