How does PortfolioPilot handle dividend reinvestment (DRIP)?

PortfolioPilot includes dividends in expected returns and performance calculations.

For connected accounts: If your brokerage reinvests dividends automatically, those new share purchases sync to PortfolioPilot on the next sync — they show up as additional shares of the security in Net Worth.

For manual accounts: PortfolioPilot assumes full reinvestment of dividends in its return and projection calculations. If your actual dividends aren't being reinvested (e.g. you're taking them as cash), update the holding's share quantity periodically in Net Worth so your tracked balance stays accurate.
