How does PortfolioPilot treat dividends in performance calculations?

PortfolioPilot uses total return in its performance calculations - meaning dividends are fully included, not just price appreciation.

A practical example: If a fund’s price stayed flat over a year but paid a 4% dividend, PortfolioPilot would show +4% total return. For dividend-heavy holdings like REITs, bond funds, or dividend ETFs, dividends can be a significant portion of total return.

Dividends are reflected automatically for connected accounts. For manually entered securities, if you choose to override the expected return, use a total return figure (including yield) rather than price appreciation alone.
