How does rebalancing work in PortfolioPilot?
PortfolioPilot doesn't rebalance your portfolio automatically — it gives you the tools to rebalance on your own terms. Three paths:
- Option 1 – Top recommendations. Open Top recommendations for suggested trades that move your portfolio toward its optimal allocation. Accept any recommendation into a draft portfolio to review the combined impact before acting.
- Option 2 – Portfolio Optimizer. Open Portfolio Optimizer to re-weight your existing holdings without adding new securities. It finds the best allocation across what you already own.
- Option 3 – Draft portfolio. Build a draft from scratch or from your current holdings on the Drafts page, make your desired changes, and use the Order execution list to get the exact trades.
You can also change the rebalancing frequency inside the Retirement planner calculations and use what-if scenarios to see the long-term impact on net worth.
PortfolioPilot never executes trades on your behalf — it generates the plan, you execute it at your brokerage. There's no automatic or scheduled rebalancing; you decide when and how much to rebalance.
