How often does PortfolioPilot update security prices?

PortfolioPilot updates security prices once a day, a few hours after markets close. This means the prices and values you see always reflect the latest end-of-day data.

What this means in practice:

  • Your portfolio value may differ from what your brokerage shows during market hours - this is expected
  • Recommendations and analysis are based on end-of-day prices, which is the right foundation for long-term investing decisions
  • Quantities and positions in connected accounts are also updated once a day through our connection partners (Plaid, SnapTrade, Yodlee)
  • End-of-day pricing supports the main use case of PortfolioPilot: helping long-term investors stay informed, optimize their portfolio, and make thoughtful decisions - not react to intraday noise

If you need the most current snapshot during market hours, you can always check your brokerage directly.
