My Portfolio Score dropped significantly in a short time - why?

Portfolio Scores change based on several factors that update daily:

  • Market movements: If your holdings shifted in value, your portfolio's risk profile or risk-adjusted returns may have changed - affecting your score.
  • Updated forecasts: PortfolioPilot refreshes its forward-looking models regularly. A change in the macro environment (interest rates, sector outlooks) can shift expected returns for your securities.
  • Data refresh: If an account re-syncs and now shows different holdings than before, the score recalculates from the new data.

A drop of 5–15 points after a significant market move is normal. If your score dropped 50+ points in a single day without a major market event, something may have changed in your data - check Track → Net Worth to see if any accounts look different.

If the drop seems unexplained, contact support@portfoliopilot.com with a screenshot of the score and the approximate time it changed - we’ll investigate and fix it as soon as possible.
