Why is my currency being converted incorrectly (Canadian vs. US dollars)?

Holdings in non-US currencies are converted automatically across all connected accounts using live exchange rates. The display currency is driven by your Base currency preference, so if balances look off, the first thing to check is whether that preference matches the currency you want to view in.

To set it:

  1. Open Preferences - User profile - Your base currency.
  2. Pick the currency you want as your display currency.
  3. Save.

For accounts that mix currencies, PortfolioPilot uses your base currency as the display currency and converts holdings using the latest rates. If a value still looks off after the right base currency is set, hit Report an issue on the affected account row in Net Worth (fastest path into our data queue). You can also email support@portfoliopilot.com with the expected vs actual value. We'll investigate and fix it asap.
