Why is PortfolioPilot recommending I sell an asset I want to keep permanently (e.g. company I work for, Bitcoin, etc.)?

PortfolioPilot's recommendation engine optimizes for risk-adjusted returns and diversification, so a concentrated position may surface as a candidate to trim even if you have personal reasons to keep it. You have two ways to push back:

  • Dismiss the specific recommendation. Open Top recommendations, find the sell suggestion for that holding, and click "Ignore...". The engine will stop suggesting it.
  • Add context for the engine. Open Preferences - Investment profile - Additional context and enter something like "Do not recommend selling my Apple shares" or "Keep at least 10% in company stock". Both recommendations and the AI Assistant respect that constraint going forward.
