How do I connect my individual bond portfolio or manually enter individual fixed-income securities?

Although we don’t support specific fixed-income securities, there are many ETFs and mutual funds that can serve as proxies for your holdings. Here is a guide to entering this information as a custom security or as a proxy to a security that has been imported but is unknown to PortfolioPilot. We would suggest adding a security with a similar duration (roughly, average maturity) to your holdings. For example, if you hold 5–10 year bonds, you might consider using an intermediate-term ETF with a low expense ratio.

Using the custom security feature and selecting "Fixed Income" as the asset class is currently the most effective way to reflect individual bonds in your portfolio.

We are looking into ways to have connected accounts recognize fixed-income products automatically and for manual-input portfolios to properly input them as well — all updates to the product will be announced to our users via our newsletter.
